Getting Help and Support

Open Source Edition and Community Support Policy

Effective June 1st 2024, the RabbitMQ team will adopt a new community support and release policy for the open source distribution.

The changes do not impact the current RabbitMQ open source license. The RabbitMQ core team continues developing open source RabbitMQ under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 on GitHub.

With the new policy, older open source release series (for example, RabbitMQ 3.12.x) will no longer receive updates (patch releases). Patch releases for older series of both the open source and commercial editions will be available to customers that have VMware Tanzu RabbitMQ commercial licenses.

Overview

There are two primary ways to obtain RabbitMQ support from the core development team at Broadcom:

Community Resources

GitHub Discussions

The recommended channel for questions, discussions, investigations, root cause analysis, and so on is GitHub Discussions. The RabbitMQ Team at Broadcom will engage according to the Community Support Eligibility Policy.

GitHub Discussions is also the place where Team RabbitMQ posts release announcements.

Questions or discussions filed as issues will be converted to discussions.

Discord Community Server

Another recommended community resource is the RabbitMQ community Discord server.

The channel offers free of charge, best effort support from the community according to the Community Support Eligibility Policy. There is no guarantee of response or specific turnaround time.

Public Community Mailing List

rabbitmq-users is the group for discussions about RabbitMQ. Once you join you can get help with technical issues, ask questions and share your experiences with RabbitMQ.

The list offers a free, best effort support from the community and the RabbitMQ core team. There is no guarantee of response or specific turnaround time.

Twitter

RabbitMQ is on Twitter.

If you're tweeting about RabbitMQ please don't forget to use the #rabbitmq hash tag.

IRC

RabbitMQ IRC channel is #rabbitmq on Libera Chat.

There's a Web interface to Libera if you don't have an IRC client installed.
